STRIDE

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 June 2026

1. Who we are

STRIDE is a trading name of V/Collective Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16146283). In this policy, “STRIDE”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to V/Collective Limited.

We are the “data controller” responsible for the personal data described below. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, please contact us.

2. The data we collect

When you apply to join STRIDE and use the platform, we may collect:

  • Identity & contact details: first and last name, date of birth, gender, home city, primary email, secondary email, and (optionally) a LinkedIn profile URL.
  • Professional details: company name, company category and type, and your role.
  • Investment profile: your stated focus areas, strategies and sectors.
  • Community preferences: whether you wish to join our WhatsApp community, whether you wish to appear in the members directory, any community ideas you share, and referral information.
  • Event activity: the events you register for, your invitation status, and attendance.
  • Account & technical data: your login credentials (held securely by our authentication provider) and the session information needed to keep you signed in.

3. Why we collect it & our legal basis

We use your personal data to:

  • review and manage your membership application and account;
  • organise events and manage invitations, registrations and attendance;
  • send you relevant communications, such as event invitations and reminders;
  • where you have opted in, display your profile in the members directory; and
  • operate, secure and improve the platform.

Legal basis: we rely on your consent, which you give when you join, to collect and process your data for membership and event management. You can withdraw this consent at any time (see “Your rights” below). We may also rely on our legitimate interests in operating and securing the platform.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers (“processors”) who help us run STRIDE, and only as needed:

  • Supabase — secure database hosting and authentication.
  • Resend — sending transactional and event emails.
  • Vercel — application hosting and delivery.

Event details may be shared with co-hosts or venue providers solely for the purpose of event logistics. We may also disclose data where required by law. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK/EEA; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as their standard contractual clauses and data processing terms).

5. How we keep your data safe

Your data is stored with our hosting and database providers, encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access is restricted: members can only see their own data, member directory profiles are visible only to signed-in STRIDE members (never the general public), and administrative access is limited to authorised STRIDE administrators. We keep your data only for as long as you have an account with us.

6. Cookies

We use only the cookies strictly necessary to keep you securely signed in and to operate the platform. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

7. Links to other websites

The platform may contain links to external websites — for example, members’ LinkedIn profiles or sponsors’ and partners’ sites. These sites are outside our control and have their own privacy policies; we are not responsible for their content or how they handle your data. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.

8. Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete data — you can update most details yourself in Account Settings;
  • delete your account and data — available directly via Account Settings (this permanently removes your profile and event history);
  • withdraw your consent at any time;
  • object to or restrict certain processing; and
  • request a copy of your data in a portable format.

You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

9. Deleting your account & contacting us

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Account Settings. For any other questions or requests about your data, please contact us and we will respond as soon as we can.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
